Brothers and Sisters,

In our successful contract negotiations, we have established common approaches to most pay and administrative issues for all NATCA.  With common contracts, our Multi-Unit members have more opportunity than ever to unite.

The NATCA umbrella now brings together every Multi-Unit function that has a part in the FAA.  That wide spread of talents and responsibilities is almost an economy’s-worth of complexity in itself.  There are now many  talents and communications paths that might be brought to activism at this time.

One of our core goals now, is to increase union membership, and in this we are going to have to reach out to all bargaining units.   We need to maximize our effectiveness within the agency.  To do so, we need as broad a network of representatives and bargaining unit members as is possible.

We need to publicize our diversity so that we will appear relevant to the many bargaining unit employees who are not bargaining unit members. It is especially important at this time, when Unions in the Public Sector are being attacked, to make our message of solidarity clear to all employees, whether they are dues-paying members or not.  We are there for them.

In Solidarity,
